Researcher

Research

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Minimum certified Masters level qualification (ideally research-based).
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia & English, Mandarin a bonus.
  • The ability to operate effectively with people at a range of levels, both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in similar roles as below:
    • Complex research and writing in a public sector or other complex organisation;
    • Developing and writing needs, technical specifications and market analyses, business plans and similar complex documents;
    • Improving outcomes or performance through performance management frameworks;
    • A developed understanding of evidence-based research approaches;
    • Have understood and implemented analytical quantitative methods for big data analyses;
    • Have published and presented academic literatures and/or successfully prepared and pitched technical proposals.

Principals Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, write and deliver high level and deep dive strategic and analytical documents based on solid research evidences. His/her work will draw from intelligence and analysis of SSDU and external organisations, including the private sector. Act as first line intelligence provider for SSDU through exhaustive research.
  • Work closely with PMO, Research Team, Project Delivery and other colleagues to ensure that documents are based on robust, clear evidence, analysis and datasets.
  • Assist the Head of Research to plan, execute and manage or facilitate workshop and focus group discussion sessions with stakeholders in order to gather pre-requisite/initial discovery, users’ detail requirements and vital information prior to Smart Selangor initiatives/piloting execution involving but not limited to:
    • Selangor State Government;
    • Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI);
    • Local Authorities;
    • District/Land Offices;
    • State & Federal Agencies;
    • State GLCs;
    • Industries Players; and
    • Citizens of Selangor.
  • Develop analytical tools for data analyses to support data driven policy for the Selangor State Government.
  • Demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behavioral, physical, social and welfare needs.
  • Carry out any other duties which fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of this job description and which are commensurate with the grade of the post.

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist stakeholders’ engagement programmes i.e. exhibitions, retreat day, conference, etc.
  • This job description reflects the major tasks to be carried out by the post holder and identifies a level of responsibility at which they will be required to work. In the interests of effective working, the major tasks may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changing needs and circumstances. Such reviews and any consequential changes will be carried out in consultation with the post holder.

Finance Executive

Project Management Office (PMO)

Qualifications Required

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business/LCCI/ACCA equivalent background.
  • At least 2 years working experience in the related field.
  • Experience in handling full sets account and reporting.
  • Understands accounting principles, Audit experience is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Melayu & English.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Having a related Professional Certification is an added advantage.
  • Meticulous and sharp.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and inquisitive background.
  • Excellent report writing skills in both English and Bahasa Melayu.

Principals Responsibilities

  • Responsible for handling full set of accounts and finance-related duties including processing payment and updating all SSDU current accounts.
  • Work closely with team members to review project’s expenses each month and make necessary update on project’s financial status.
  • Ensure that the cost and revenue are accounted properly and billing milestones are met.
  • Assist team members to monitor, reconcile various project’s accounts and ensure all payments follow SOP in compliance with audit requirements.
  • Consolidate all financial statements for monthly reporting and record keeping.
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality in day to day duties, especially when dealing with Private & Confidential information pertaining to company’s accounts and budgets.

Assistant Project Manager

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Business Administration/Management Information System/equivalent (Diploma holders with more than 5 years working experience are also welcomed).
  • Possess 3-5 years project implementation working experience.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
  • Related Professional Certification is an added advantage.

Principals Responsibilities

  • Assist the Product Manager to plan, execute and manage or facilitate workshop and focus group discussion sessions with stakeholders in order to gather pre-requisite/initial discovery, users’ detail requirements and vital information prior to Smart Selangor initiatives/piloting execution involving but not limited to:
    • Selangor State Government;

    • District/Land Offices;

  • Assist the Product Manager to co-develop Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation.
  • Assist the Product Manager to co-evaluate submission of RFQ or RFP and selection of vendors.
  • Assist the Product Manager to perform end-to-end vendor management processes for Smart Selangor initiatives/pilot projects execution until project closure. The processes include but not limited to:
    • Facilitating and coordinating project stakeholders;
    • Monitoring and assessment of:
      • project progress;
      • deliverable;
      • milestones;
      • resources;
      • budget utilisation;
      • issues & resolutions;
      • risks & mitigations;
      • operation & management reporting;
      • project closure;
      • support & maintenance.

Assistant Product Manager & IT Support

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Engineering/Electronic Engineering/equivalent (Diploma holders with more than 5 years working experience are also welcomed).
  • Possess 2-3 years programming and IT Support working experience.
  • Possess 1-2 years Cloud Computing working experience.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
  • Have related Professional Certification is an added advantage.

Principals Responsibilities

  • Assist the Product Manager to plan, execute and manage or facilitate workshop and focus group discussion sessions with stakeholders in order to gather pre-requisite/initial discovery, users’ detail requirements and vital information prior to Smart Selangor initiatives/piloting execution involving but not limited to:

    • Request for Info (RFI) documentation preparation;
    • RFI briefing session; and
    • Evaluation of RFI document submitted and summarised the recommendation.
  • Assist the Product Manager to plan, execute and manage or facilitate the end-to-end processes related such as design, logic, data structure requirements, etc. for Smart Selangor application/system/platform development.
  • Assist the Product Manager to co-develop Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation.
  • Assist the Product Manager to co-evaluate submission of RFQ or RFP and selection of vendors.
  • Act as the Technical 1st Level Support to resolve the following internal IT related matters:
    • Hardware and peripherals, such as servers, network router, wifi device, pabx, panel screen display, power extension, HDMI cables, etc.
    • Office equipment, such as multi-purpose printer, door access, laptop setup, etc.
    • Software, such as operating system setup, Microsoft office setup, etc.
    • Network connectivity (wireless, LAN and internet connection).
  • To manage SSDU portal registration, mobile apps registration (android and iOS) and internal network connectivity contract (LAN and internet connection).
  • To liaise with MBI-IT for the 2nd and 3rd level technical support.
  • To perform regular internal IT “house-keeping” and inventory listing.
  • Assist the Product Manager to perform end-to-end vendor management processes for Smart Selangor initiatives/pilot projects execution until project closure. The processes include but not limited to:
    • Facilitating and coordinating project stakeholders;
    • Monitoring and assessment of:
